How to choose steel for hard alloy?

The manufacturing cost of plastic mould is very high, and the material fee only accounts for a very small part of the cost of the mould. Therefore, the steel with good technology, stable performance and long service life should be given priority in the selection of steel in line with our resources. In the application research of mold steel, to provide one-stop service of mold failure analysis and mold life solutions, Professional sales imported Z cost-effective die steel (hard alloy, Sweden UDDEHOLM tool steel Uddeholm, Japan HITACHI die steel METALS, Japanese high speed steel, American melting furnace Spor powder metallurgy tool steel, Germany Groditz die steel, and domestic new die steel, matrix steel, non-magnetic die steel, flame steel, air cooled steel, red die steel, etc.

硬质合金

Hard alloy is suitable for cold extrusion molding of plastic mold steel using industrial pure iron. Also can use 10, 15, 20, 20Cr steel. In order to obtain a higher ductility, it is best to use a steel with a low silicon content. For very deep low dies, the entire pressing can be done in several steps. In between the pressing steps, the low die should be fully annealed to restore plasticity. Industrial pure iron forging should be carried out in the range of 1000~1250℃ or 680~850℃, avoid in the middle temperature, to prevent "recrystallization brittleness". The mold is carburized at 900~930℃, quenched at 780~800℃, tempered at 150~250℃, and the surface hardness is above 58HRC.
